TIME FLIES GALLERY

UX/Web Design and Development (Montréal 2022)

Project:

Created an online gallery for local artist and business owner, Jonathan Bourassa.

Role:

UX/Web Designer – Adobe XD, Photoshop, Illustrator

Web Developer – HTML, CSS, JavaScript, FileZilla, Atom.io

Creative Process:

• Gathered and assessed client needs.

• Prototyped website layout and gathered client feedback.

• Purchased side-scrolling code template (commercial license).

• Personalized front-end layout and style sheets.

• Formatted all client's artwork photos for improved performance.

• Completed and uploaded code to privately-owned server.

Result:

A beautiful online gallery to showcase Mr Bourassa's artwork. The unique design of the side-scrolling gallery vision, ensures that this collection can be enjoyed as it is intended in a brick and mortar studio. See rationale below.

Design Rationale

Very simple – think about the last time you went to a museum or a gallery.

Did you look around the room in a down-up-down motion; or did you look left-right-left?

Now, why would an online gallery be any different to brick and mortar?
